I didn’t know the history of the award, but was incredibly honored to be included among such an amazing list of past honorees (present company included). You might be a little odd , but your winning the award in 1995 was definitely no oddity. I know few people who have made such an amazing contribution to the profession in terms of communication/education. I’ve been benefiting from your work since even before I went to library school and was just researching the profession.
