The cover stock is, as far as I can tell, exactly the same weight used in other trade paperbacks, including those from ALA Editions and ITI. It's possible you got a bad copy. The cover seems a bit blurry or something and I couldn't really figure out what the picture was of/about ... sort of thin paper, too, for the quality of the interior.
