[...] Andrea Mercado at LibraryTechtonics muses “On Tagging People.” It is an interesting post that intriguingly has something to say about the recent meme of fours to travel through the biblioblogosphere, among other places. Even if some of it is beyond your knowledge of “friendship” in an online environment, stick it through to the end and then let’s see if we can help Andrea give form to her thoughts. Nice list of resources included. I see it somewhat of a reminder that considering content and information about people and things is not the same as considering the resulting relationships and knowledge about people and things on the New Web (an incomplete thought in my brain that’s still a work in progress).
Oh, I used to love Remington Steele (I only ever saw it in re-runs, which I caught from time to time at my grandmother's house, land of copious cable).
I have seen Princess Bride on a few places as well. Does not make my list, but that is cool. I was amused when I saw the meme finally caught you. It seems it has been spreading around quite a bit. It has also taken quite a few permutations. I find it interesting how some people add things or take things out to make it their own. Not to mention you learn a little more about people. I'll post my replies shortly over at Itinerant Librarian (my other blog. That's where I put my play stuff). As always, best, and keep on blogging.

I just looked up the lyrics and nothing sounded at all like ANY of the dialog. And I know that dialog so well that I can pretty much lip sync the whole movie.

The only key repeated chunk of dialog I can think of is "Hello, my name..." If that's the chunk to which you're referring, I'd say you are seeing more similarity than is actually there.

That's the only movie we've purchased more than one DVD copy of, to give to friends and relatives. Four so far, I think--maybe five.

One trivia question for which I have no answer: Was a key repeated chunk of dialogue adapted from/inspired by "A Boy Named Sue," or was that total coincidence?

Or am I seeing more similarity than is actually there?
